Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mathias Alm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silberio ZasZas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alm comes to the cage accompanied by Rise Against - Give It All. Silberio ZasZas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Silberio ZasZas!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ZasZas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
ZasZas throws a right and a left that both miss.
ZasZas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alm sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Alm shoots for a double leg takedown but ZasZas sprawls well. He's pushed Alm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alm is defended easily by ZasZas.

Oooooh!!! ZasZas has knocked Alm down with a huge combo! ZasZas steps away and waves a wobbly Alm back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Alm is rocked!

It looks like Mathias Alm has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
ZasZas lands a leg kick that knocks Alm off balance momentarily.
ZasZas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
ZasZas throws a right hand that Alm ducks under and follows up with a left that Alm also avoids with ease.
Alm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. ZasZas defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathias Alm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
ZasZas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alm circles away quickly and effectively.
ZasZas throws a series of punches but Alm avoids them all with ease.
Alm tries to score a power double leg takedown but ZasZas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alm somewhat.
No luck for Alm with that takedown attempt.
Alm is breathing heavily.

ZasZas lands a left and a right that send Alm crashing to the mat, dazed. ZasZas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
ZasZas lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
ZasZas cracks Alm's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Alm slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before ZasZas can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Mathias Alm was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back.'.
