Tavares is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Die Die Die My Darling. Gideao Tavares has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Tavares shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Tavares is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Jones to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Tavares drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tavares is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Tavares has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tavares pushes a forearm under Jones's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jones is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
