Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Del Mar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean Quinn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fabio Del Mar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 11 - 3, fighting out of London, Sean Quinn!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Mar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Quinn lands with a good body shot.
Del Mar goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Quinn misses with a jab to the body
and Del Mar counters with a three punch combo that has Quinn backing up. Quinn nods at Del Mar to acknowledge the strikes.
Del Mar scores with a spinning back kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quinn tests Del Mar's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Quinn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Quinn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Del Mar manages to avoid it.
Quinn blocks a head kick by Del Mar.
Quinn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Del Mar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Quinn.
Del Mar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Quinn lands an overhand right.
Quinn misses with a wild body shot.
Quinn looks to land a left hand but Del Mar moved out of range nicely.

Quinn tests Del Mar's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Quinn. Del Mar does a little dance to reset his feet.
Quinn lands a nice hook to Del Mar's body. Del Mar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Del Mar takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Quinn swats away the attempt to clinch by Del Mar.

Quinn throws out a loose jab but Del Mar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Del Mar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Quinn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Del Mar thuds his shin into the meat of Quinn's side.
Quinn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Quinn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quinn throws a body punch but Del Mar moves out of range.
Del Mar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Quinn throws out the jab.
Quinn avoids the head kick by Del Mar.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Quinn throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Del Mar tries to clinch there but Quinn circles away.
Quinn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Quinn cracks Del Mar with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Quinn bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Del Mar's head backwards.
Del Mar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Quinn keeps the fight on the outside.

Quinn throws a jab but it's blocked by Del Mar.
Del Mar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Quinn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sean Quinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Del Mar doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Del Mar wants to clinch.
Del Mar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Del Mar takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Quinn misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Del Mar.

Quinn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Del Mar. Del Mar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A decent looking cross lands there for Quinn.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Del Mar tries to clinch up.
Del Mar tries a head kick but it misses.
Del Mar ducks under a wild hook from Quinn.
Del Mar doesn't manage to clinch there - Quinn circles away.
Quinn moves out of range of the body kick from Del Mar.
Del Mar throws a body punch but Quinn moves out of range.
Quinn is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Del Mar had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Del Mar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Quinn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Del Mar throws out a leg kick but Quinn moves out of range and Del Mar only half commits.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Del Mar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Quinn.
Del Mar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Del Mar tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Quinn dominated that round.
That's time! Del Mar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Del Mar clinches up with Quinn and pushes him back against the cage.
Del Mar misses with a hook to the ribs.
Del Mar throws a knee to the head but misses.
Del Mar just leaning against Quinn, taking a breather.
Quinn digs a right hand into Del Mar's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Del Mar's gas tank.
Quinn is trying to maintain a safe position but Del Mar gets an underhook and turns Quinn into the cage.
Del Mar tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Del Mar landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Del Mar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Quinn throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Del Mars head.
Del Mar connects with a knee to the head.
Quinn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Del Mar tries to work over Quinn's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Del Mar misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Quinn.
Quinn avoiding damage as Del Mar throws knees to the body.
Quinn is looking to break free of the clinch but Del Mar has double underhooks.
Quinn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Del Mar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Quinn is defending well for now.
Del Mar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Quinn walks away with a smile on his face. Del Mar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Quinn throws a looping overhand right but Del Mar ducks down to avoid it.
Quinn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Del Mar closes the distance looking to clinch
and Quinn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A shot to the liver by Quinn. Beautiful body shot.
Del Mar walks into a stiff left hand from Quinn.
Quinn misses with a jab to the body
and Del Mar counters with a nice body kick.

and Del Mar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Del Mar.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Del Mar obliges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Del Mar turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Del Mar manages to end up in side control.

Del Mar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Quinn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Quinn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Del Mar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Del Mar goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Quinn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Del Mar's guard! Nice work there by Quinn!

Quinn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Del Mar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quinn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quinn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Del Mar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quinn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Del Mar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Del Mar is working hard here to advance position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Del Mar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quinn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Del Mar is adopting a defensive guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Del Mar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fabio Del Mar dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Quinn connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Quinn. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Quinn lands with a hook. Del Mar tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A punch combination from Quinn misses.
Del Mar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Del Mar needs to keep his hands up - Quinn had a free shot at his head there.

Del Mar pulls out of a head kick attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Quinn cracks Del Mar with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice cross by Quinn.
A slow jab from Del Mar misses its intended target.
Nice straight punches there by Quinn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Quinn.


Del Mar is rocked!
Del Mar takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oh Del Mar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Quinn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Del Mar walks straight into a right hand from Quinn - that's dropped him! Quinn jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Del Mar from any more punishment! Del Mar complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sean Quinn!
Sean Quinn seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
