PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hong Kong Phooey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Phooey might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hong Kong Phooey. Marvin has chosen King of Kings by Motorhead as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phooey throws a sloppy head kick and Marvin moves out of range easily.
Phooey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marvin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Phooey scrambles back to his feet.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Marvin scores with a jab. Phooey acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

We've been hearing good reports from Phooey's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
