Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoshida Kotaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotaro's entrance music is Dance Yourself Clean. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yoshida Kotaro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jose Aldo!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo throws a sloppy head kick
and Kotaro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kotaro throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Aldo on the side of the head.
Aldo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Kotaro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kotaro lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Kotaro lands a big head kick that sends Aldo tumbling to the mat! Kotaro takes a step backwards and waves Aldo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Jose Aldo has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
