The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laine steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vilenius.

Vilenius fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Laine sprawls well initially but Vilenius persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Laine is staying active underneath Vilenius, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Laine wants to improve his position but Vilenius is controlling well.

Vilenius throws an elbow that misses. Laine uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vilenius's guard. Nice move by Laine!
