Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Norris Broderick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cox has chosen Razormind Remix as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Norris Broderick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse Cox!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cox closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cox lands in his opponent's guard.
Cox is stalling in the full guard.

Broderick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cox is aware though and is defending well.
Cox stopping the sweep attempt from Broderick.
Broderick seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Cox not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Broderick throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Cox trying to control but Broderick is working from the bottom.
Cox might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Broderick haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jesse Cox wasn't active enough on the ground.

Broderick gets caught napping as Cox dives in and scores a takedown. Broderick manages to retain guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cox pulls Broderick in close to his closed guard and prevents Broderick from doing any damage or advancing position.

We're going to have a standup here because Norris Broderick wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Cox darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Cox is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Broderick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cox.

Cox is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Broderick has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cox prevents Broderick from standing back up.
Cox lands with a punch from half guard.
Broderick is trying to control but can't.
Cox is keen to just control but Broderick is a slippery customer.

Cox is working for a submission of some sort.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Broderick is holding on to half guard well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Broderick is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cox sees it coming and defends easily.
Well, if Broderick is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Broderick wants to stand up but Cox is controlling the position.
Broderick stalling away here and it's allowed Cox to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Cox looking for a guillotine here but Broderick defends easily.
Broderick pushes down on Cox's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Cox wants to get back to his feet.
Broderick tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cox knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Broderick frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cox tries to hold on but Broderick pushes him away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Broderick tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Norris Broderick dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Broderick moves into the clinch successfully.
Cox stops a takedown attempt from Broderick.
Broderick goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Cox gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Broderick wants to get back to his feet.
Broderick tries to roll over but Cox keeps him under control.
Broderick trying to control but Cox postures up.
Cox trying to control the action but Broderick is working from the bottom.
Cox content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Broderick throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Broderick wants to control but Cox passes easily into half guard.

Cox seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Broderick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Broderick is trying to keep Cox in close.

Cox drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cox jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Broderick can't keep his opponent in guard - Cox advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Cox is just content to waste time from the top position. Broderick takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Broderick looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Broderick is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Jesse Cox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cox has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jesse Cox decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
