Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tauno Palo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barker comes to the ring accompanied by The Way of the Fist - Five Finger Death Punch. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barker swats away the attempt to clinch by Palo.
Palo misses with a jab, cross combination.
A slapping leg kick lands for Palo.
Barker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Palo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barker somewhat.
Barker has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Palo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Palo.
Barker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Palo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Barker's knee momentarily.
Barker stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Palo.
Palo lands a two punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barker checks the leg kick nicely there.
Palo is looking to slow Barker down with leg kicks.
Palo wants to clinch.
Barker plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Barker walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Palo tries to clinch up but Barker circles away and keeps his distance.
Barker walks into a stiff left hand from Palo.
Palo stalks Barker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Barker's face. Barker staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
An inside leg kick lands from Palo.
Barker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Barker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Palo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barker was well out of range. Poor timing from Palo.
Palo scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Barker goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Palo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Palo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Barker is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Barker fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Barker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Palo gets tackled into the ropes by Barker. Barker maintains the clinch.
Palo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Barker. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A head punch on the inside from Barker fails to land.

Palo has Barker pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Barker is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Palo - that's hurt Barker badly! Oh, another knee lands and Barker is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Barker doesn't seem to be complaining.

A relieved looking Tauno Palo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
