Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shaquille Oneil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tony Rovigatti!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneil shoots in for a double leg but Rovigatti sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Rovigatti has Oneil up against the cage in a clinch.

Rovigatti pulls guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Oneil is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Oneil wants to stand and escape but instead Rovigatti has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rovigatti stands and throws Oneil's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Rovigatti tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rovigatti has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Oneil is trying to get back to half guard.
Oneil gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rovigatti lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Rovigatti has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rovigatti is looking for a kimura but Oneil is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rovigatti to get the leverage.

Rovigatti is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oneil is just riding it out for now. Rovigatti eventually gives up the hold.
Oneil pushes Rovigatti off looking to stand but Rovigatti dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rovigatti works his way into side control.
Oneil is looking to reverse the position.

Rovigatti looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Rovigatti has an Americana. Oneil didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rovigatti is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rovigatti hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tony Rovigatti!
