Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gordon Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jutta Urpilainen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman scores with a nice body kick.
Urpilainen is looking to clinch.
Jab, jab by Freeman - just one landing.
Freeman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Urpilainen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Urpilainen is defended easily by Freeman.

Urpilainen moves into the clinch.
Urpilainen changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Freeman fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Freeman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Urpilainen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Freeman is aware though and is defending well.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Freeman here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
