Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brenden Mingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Harvey - Get up and move. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 2, fighting out of London, Shawn Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mingo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kowalski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mingo somewhat.
Mingo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kowalski circles away.
Kowalski looks to land a combination but Mingo avoids it well.
Kowalski looks to land a left hand but Mingo moved out of range nicely.
Kowalski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kowalski wants it to stay on the feet.

Mingo misses with a takedown attempt - Kowalski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kowalski swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mingo leaves Kowalski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mingo dives in for a single leg takedown but Kowalski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Kowalski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Kowalski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mingo stalks Kowalski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kowalski's face. Kowalski staggers backwards, shaken.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mingo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Well Kowalski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
