Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Coogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxim Mailov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mailov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Coogan.
Mailov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Mailov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Coogan is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Coogan misses with a straight right.
Mailov looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Coogan shoots in but Mailov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Coogan goes for a double leg but Mailov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mailov continues to drive forward.
Coogan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mailov avoids it.

Coogan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Coogan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mailov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Mailov's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Coogan tightens his grip and picks Mailov up, before dumping him to the ground. Mailov manages to land in guard.

Coogan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mailov dives on top into guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rob Coogan.

Mailov throws a hook but Coogan avoids it easily.

Coogan throws an overhand right that lands on Mailov's shoulder, as Mailov tries to avoid the shot.

Maxim Mailov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Coogan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mailov avoids it really well and circles away.
Coogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mailov's waist but Mailov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coogan off to one side.

Coogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mailov tries to avoid it but Coogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mailov to the ground. Mailov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Coogan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mailov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Coogan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mailov is trying to defend but Coogan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
