Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Cardone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Huerta told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huerta throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cardone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cardone looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Huerta misses with a double jab.
Huerta looks to land a combination but Cardone avoids it well.

Huerta scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huerta passes to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Huerta has hold of Cardone's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cardone tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Huerta cranks the arm and Cardone screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cardone, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
