The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hersha's guard.
Hersha tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jenkins postures up in Hersha's guard and throws a big left but Hersha blocks it.

Hersha is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jenkins is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
