Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Rowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Block Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell has chosen Slayer - Raining Blood as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell throws a leg kick which misses Rowles's front leg but catches the back leg as Rowles tries to avoid it.
Rowles moves out of range of the leg kick from Liddell.
Liddell throws a wild body kick that Rowles sees coming a mile off.

It looks like Paul Rowles has been cut.

Rowles throws a looping overhand right but Liddell ducks down to avoid it.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rowles. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Rowles swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Liddell dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rowles. That did some damage!
Some bone on bone action there as Rowles checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Liddell throws a head kick but Rowles moves out of range.
Liddell tries to land a front kick but Rowles steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters circle momentarily. Liddell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Liddell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rowles has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rowles and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Liddell fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rowles checks it well.
Block Liddell seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Liddell drops his hands momentarily and Rowles takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Rowles does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Liddell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Block Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Rowles counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rowles.
Rowles controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowles wants to control from the top but Liddell keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rowles stands up over Liddell, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Liddell moves away from the strike by Rowles.

Rowles throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Liddell stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Rowles fails to land the takedown.
Liddell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Rowles throws out a loose jab but Liddell uses good head movement to avoid it.

Horrible takedown by Rowles or perhaps it was just good defense by Liddell which made him look bad.

Rowles thuds a left hand into Liddell's body.
A nice combination there by Rowles.
Rowles keeps Liddell at a distance using the push kick.
Liddell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rowles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Liddell at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Liddell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rowles.

Liddell drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rowles cracks Liddell with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Liddell tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Rowles pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Liddell is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Rowles!
