The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Ninguem with that takedown attempt.
Ninguem wants to clinch up but Whoa keeps it at a distance.
Ninguem closes the distance and clinches up with Whoa, looking for a takedown. Ninguem pushes Whoa against the cage but Whoa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ninguem pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ninguem walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ninguem doesn't manage to clinch there - Whoa circles away.
Ninguem keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ninguem keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Whoa.

Ninguem drives through with a takedown into guard.
Whoa is looking to stand up but Ninguem isn't so interested in that idea.
Whoa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ninguem.

Ninguem wants to control from the top but Whoa keeps moving.
Ninguem won't allow Whoa to get back to his feet.
Ninguem stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whoa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Whoa cracks Ninguem with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Whoa has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ninguem to stand back up!

Joao Ninguem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crack! Whoa connects with the perfect overhand right and Ninguem falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Whoa!
