The crowd seem to be enjoying Matwijenko's choice of entrance music: RANDORI!. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Iwan Matwijenko!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matwijenko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Matwijenko lands a head kick. Eldridge smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Michael Eldridge has been cut.
Matwijenko looks to score with a jab to the body but Eldridge is just out of range.
Eldridge throws an off balance right hand
and Matwijenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Eldridge avoids the head kick by Matwijenko.
A telegraphed right hand from Eldridge misses the target.
Matwijenko ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Matwijenko keeps Eldridge at a distance using the push kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A slapping body kick lands there for Matwijenko.
Matwijenko lets loose with a powerful body kick. Eldridge will feel that in the morning.
Matwijenko feints and then cracks Eldridge's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Eldridge down.
Eldridge is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Iwan Matwijenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eldridge goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Eldridge darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Eldridge is looking to clinch but Matwijenko is avoiding it.
Matwijenko throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Matwijenko lands a nice shot to the body.
Eldridge is breathing heavily.

Matwijenko lands the left hand.
Matwijenko connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Eldridge covering up! Matwijenko comes in with a big uppercut and Eldridge goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
