PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pat Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blue Rak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murphy comes to the cage accompanied by Pat murphy of the Irish Brigade. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Rak counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Murphy thinking.
Murphy shoots in looking for a takedown but Rak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Murphy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Rak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Murphy fails with a takedown attempt.
Murphy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Murphy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Murphy darts in trying to clinch

and Rak counters with a crisp one two that drops Murphy! Rak thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Murphy to his feet! Murphy is in big trouble!

Rak fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Murphy is out of range.

Murphy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Murphy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rak finds it's way round the side to connect with Murphy's head.
Oh Murphy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice sprawl there from Rak as Murphy shoots in.
Murphy seems to have got his legs back now.
Rak looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Murphy wants to clinch but Rak slips to the side
and Rak scores with a counter punch that sends Murphy to the canvas! Rak smells blood - he's punishing Murphy with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Murphy has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
