Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kesigan St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Pierre has chosen aint no sunshine as his entrance music. Kesigan St Pierre acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre shoots and misses

and Edgar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

St Pierre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Edgar defends well.
Edgar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. St Pierre swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Edgar got a little sloppy there for a moment and St Pierre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Edgar has managed to get both his arms back between St Pierre's legs - danger averted.

St Pierre is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Edgar has his hands clasped together but St Pierre extends and breaks Edgar's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by St Pierre.

After the fight, Kesigan St Pierre was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
