Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silent Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Taphorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Jungle Love- Morris Day And The Time . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Silent Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Taphorn!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taphorn throws the left hand but Bob avoids the punch easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bob.
Taphorn throws a low kick but Bob avoids it.
Bob throws a leg kick but Taphorn moved away.
Taphorn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bob wants to land a leg kick but Taphorn is out of range.
Bob on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Taphorn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Taphorn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Bob walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Taphorn checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Taphorn counters with a single leg into guard. Bob didn't expect that.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bob not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bob is really struggling to control Taphorn but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Bob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bob is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Taphorn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Silent Bob has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Taphorn misses the jab.
Taphorn throws a hook but Bob avoids it easily.

Bob is looking to clinch but Taphorn is avoiding it.
Bob ducks right into an uppercut from Taphorn.
Bob lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Taphorn checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Taphorn throws a chopping leg kick but Bob manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Bob misses with a low kick as Taphorn jumps back.
Bob lands a jab to Taphorn's midsection.

Taphorn goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Taphorn looks to land a right hand but Bob moved out of range.
Bob looks to score with a jab to the body but Taphorn is just out of range.
Taphorn digs a good hook to Bob's body.
Bob throws a leg kick but Taphorn moved away.
Bob throws a low kick but Taphorn avoids it.
Taphorn cracks the inside of Bob's front leg.
Taphorn misses with a straight right.
Bob just misses with a punch to the body.

Taphorn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bob darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


It looks like Peter Taphorn has been cut.
Taphorn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bob manages to avoid it.
Bob is looking to score with low kicks.
Bob looks for the body kick but Taphorn saw that one coming.
Taphorn scores with a shot to the body.

Taphorn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bob tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taphorn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Taphorn tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Taphorn scores with a couple of short elbows.

Taphorn lands some shots froms side control.
Bob is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bob is looking to get back to full guard here but Taphorn has managed to pass to side control instead.

You can see the frustration on Bob's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Taphorn misses with the ground and pound.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bob is looking for a sweep.
Bob takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Bob tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taphorn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Peter Taphorn will probably get the nod.

That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bob is looking to clinch.
Taphorn lands the left hand.
Taphorn keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Bob throws out a leg kick but Taphorn moves out of range and Bob only half commits.

Silent Bob is winning the standup battle so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taphorn misses with an uppercut.
Bob displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Taphorn.

Taphorn wants to take a breather but Bob is having none of it.
Bob tries to roll over but Taphorn keeps him under control.
Taphorn is stalling here. Bob is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Taphorn seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bob has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Taphorn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Bob tries to get to full guard but Taphorn has control of the leg.
Bob tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Taphorn has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Taphorn is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bob to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bob shrugs it off.
Bob can't escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee warns Bob that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bob is desperately trying to improve his position but Taphorn has a good base and remains in mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Taphorn there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Bob is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Taphorn is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bob can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bob bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Taphorn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Peter Taphorn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Bob throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Taphorn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Taphorn closes the distance and clinches up with Bob, looking for a takedown. Taphorn pushes Bob against the cage but Bob circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Taphorn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Taphorn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bob connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Taphorn scrambles back to his feet.

Taphorn lands a nice looking body shot.
Bob pivots, looking for a leg kick but Taphorn is out of range and Bob settles back down.
Taphorn fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Taphorn scores with a nice strike.
Taphorn jabs Bob to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bob, right into the meat.
Taphorn fails to land the takedown.
Silent Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Taphorn.

Bob drives through and clinches with Taphorn against the cage.
Bob pushes off an throws an elbow but Taphorn leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Taphorn tries to land knees in the clinch but Bob avoids the damage to the body.

Bob blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Peter Taphorn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Taphorn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bob postures up and lands a big shot to Taphorn's brow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bob throws a strike but Taphorn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bob is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Taphorn tries to free his leg and advance position but Bob is retaining full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Silent Bob.
I think Taphorn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
