Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Louis Storm!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blarghh lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Storm sprawling to the canvas. Blarghh follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Storm hang on?


Storm is rocked!


It looks like Louis Storm has been cut.
Storm slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Storm is still in real trouble! Can Blarghh finish him?
Blarghh controlling from the top position.

Storm looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Blarghh has picked Storm up and slammed him! Storm can't keep hold of the triangle and Blarghh manages to pass to side control!
Storm seems to have recovered his senses.
Blarghh tries to get to his feet but Storm is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Blarghh in his guard.
Storm looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Storm is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Blarghh tries to roll over but Storm keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Blarghh misses with a hook.
Blarghh drops Storm with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Storm looks back up at him and smiles so Blarghh waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Braenar Blarghh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by Storm.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blarghh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Blarghh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Storm swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Blarghh fails to land with a series of punches.
Storm ducks under a wild hook from Blarghh.

Storm looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Blarghh won't allow Storm to pass to mount.
Blarghh is trying to stand up here but Storm is controlling him well.
Storm is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Blarghh tries to roll over but Storm keeps him under control.
Storm tries to pass to full mount but Blarghh defends it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A head kick misses from Blarghh.
Storm misses with a series of wild punches.
Storm slow jab from Blarghh misses its intended target.

The fighters circling - Storm throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Blarghh throws a sloppy head kick and Storm moves out of range easily.

Storm shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Storm showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Storm is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Blarghh has managed to free his arm - good work.
Storm is taking a breather. Blarghh says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Blarghh avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Storm.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Storm tries to pass the half guard into mount. Blarghh knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Storm seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blarghh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Storm is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blarghh is just riding it out for now. Storm eventually gives up the hold.
Storm is breathing heavily.
Blarghh is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Blarghh clinches.
Blarghh lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Storm.

Blarghh breaks from the clinch.
Blarghh is looking to land body kicks.
Braenar Blarghh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blarghh misses with a looping right.
Storm slips under a jab.
Blarghh throws a left and a right that both miss

and Storm counters with a takedown into side control.
Blarghh controls the position for a moment.
Blarghh can't do much from the bottom here.

Blarghh prevents Storm from improving position.

Storm tries for a kimura but Blarghh is defending well.
Blarghh wants to control but Storm postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blarghh is trying to improve his position.

Louis Storm showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Blarghh closes the distance but Storm moves to the side

and Storm counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Blarghh's guard now.
Storm throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Storm stops Blarghh from standing up.

Storm drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blarghh looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blarghh looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blarghh!

Storm is looking for a sweep.

Blarghh has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Storm takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Blarghh holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Storm tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Storm throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Storm avoids the attempt from Blarghh to control.
Blarghh tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Storm is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Blarghh can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Blarghh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Blarghh tries to get out of the position.

Storm wants to control the pace but Blarghh is squirming around nicely.
Blarghh is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Blarghh tries to hold on but Storm pushes him away.

Storm thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Blarghh has given up his back here.

Storm seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Blarghh's chin but Blarghh turns very nicely into Storm's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Blarghh.
Blarghh wants to get up but he can't break Storm's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Blarghh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Blarghh decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Storm is trying to control but can't.
Blarghh wants to stand up but Storm is controlling the position.

Storm is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Blarghh pulls his head out easily.
Blarghh not doing much here.
Storm is pressing down on Blarghh's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

I think Storm has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
