PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erkki Rimppi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emaus Tamei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tamei has chosen PNG Pom City by Naka Blood as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rimppi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rimppi looks to throw the jab but Tamei is out of range.
Rimppi misses with an uppercut.
Rimppi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Tamei to counter with a crisp jab.
Tamei throws a body punch but Rimppi moves out of range.
Rimppi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tamei was well out of range. Poor timing from Rimppi.

Tamei has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Tamei stalks Rimppi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rimppi's face. Rimppi staggers backwards, shaken.

Tamei throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rimppi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Rimppi throws a hook to the side of Tamei's head but Tamei sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tamei connects with a right hand. Rimppi shakes it off.

Tamei thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rimppi if he has to take too many more of those.

Emaus Tamei dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Emaus Tamei showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
