The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villasenor has his takedown stuffed

and London counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

London postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Villasenor to stand up.

Villasenor wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but London has him pressed against the cage.

London works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Villasenor definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

London gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and London holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larin Villasenor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Villasenor has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. London avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

London manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
London manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Villasenor manages to get himself to full guard.
Villasenor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for London on the ground.

Villasenor has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. London is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Villasenor.
