The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toller clinches up against the cage.
Gaarlandt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Toller.
Gaarlandt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Toller fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gaarlandt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Gaarlandt rushes Toller and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Toller looking for a takedown.

Gaarlandt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Toller fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gaarlandt slips a jab and a cross from Toller.

Toller shoots in and bounces Gaarlandt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Toller advances position into side control!
Toller in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Toller wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gaarlandt, who protects the arm well.
Gaarlandt prevents Toller from improving position.
I wouldn't like to be where Gaarlandt is right now.
Gaarlandt parries the strikes from Toller easily there. Toller is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gaarlandt to escape.
Toller looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Gaarlandt is avoiding damage well.

Gaarlandt tries to control but Toller manages to take his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Toller working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Gaarlandt is doing well to defend. Toller seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Gaarlandt is forced to tap and this one is over!
