Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Baby Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boon has chosen Who are you? Come on, goodbye! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Blue counters with a three punch combo that has Boon backing up. Boon nods at Blue to acknowledge the strikes.
Blue scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Boon misses with a takedown
and Blue counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Boon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Boon has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Blue has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blue rolls, trying to escape but Boon keeps control of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blue is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Boon gets his way!

Boon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blue swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blue is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boon, into his guard.
Blue wants to control from the top but Boon keeps moving.

Boon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blue gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Blue avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Boon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blue doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blue manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blue got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blue has managed to get both his arms back between Boon's legs - danger averted.
