The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eddson tries for a takedown but Kotaro sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kotaro has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Eddson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kotaro has Eddson pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Eddson is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Kotaro - that's hurt Eddson badly! Oh, another knee lands and Eddson is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Eddson doesn't seem to be complaining.
