The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sankari fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Van Helsing has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sankari. Van Helsing does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sankari fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Van Helsing looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sankari throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sankari throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

No joy there for Sankari, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Van Helsing looks to score with a jab to the body but Sankari is just out of range.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sankari.
Sankari bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Van Helsing looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sankari.
Van Helsing throws a hook to the side of Sankari's head but Sankari sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

It looks like Nyrkki Sankari has been cut.
Van Helsing really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sankari fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Van Helsing on the side of the head.
Van Helsing misses with an uppercut. Sankari saw that one coming.

Sankari tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Van Helsing was well out of range. Poor timing from Sankari.

and Van Helsing counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Sankari throws a body punch but Van Helsing moves out of range.
Sankari swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Sankari drops his hands momentarily and Van Helsing takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Van Helsing fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Sankari lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Sankari takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Sankari throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Van Helsing.
Sankari connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Sankari darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Van Helsing is rocked!
Van Helsing keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Oh Van Helsing is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

BOOM! Sankari lands a beautiful left hook that drops Van Helsing. Van Helsing tries to recover but Sankari is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Van Helsing lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
