Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jay Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aloe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Aloe!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aloe tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jackson counters with a two punch combo.
Jay Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson throws a right hand that Aloe ducks under and follows up with a left that Aloe also avoids with ease.

Jackson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jackson lands with a nice combination. Aloe backs away looking to recover.
Aloe wants to clinch but Jackson slips to the side
and Jackson counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aloe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aloe takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Aloe throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily.
Jackson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Aloe is looking for a sweep.
Aloe is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jackson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Aloe down.

Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Aloe, who protects the arm well.

Jackson grinds an elbow into Aloe's temple.
Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Aloe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aloe tries to improve position but can't.
Jackson wants to control but Aloe is keeping him busy.

Jackson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Aloe rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jackson's guard! Nice work there by Aloe!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jackson holds on and takes a little breather.

Aloe prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet.

Jackson kicks Aloe off and gets to his feet.
Jackson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Aloe on the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Aloe. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Aloe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aloe to the mat! Aloe manages to get full guard.
Aloe is controlling Jackson's posture.
Jackson works over Aloe with some ground and pound from guard.
Aloe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson has his feet on Aloe's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Jackson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Aloe takes one to the chin there.
Aloe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson stuns Aloe with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Aloe doesn't seem phased though.
Jackson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Aloe back to the cage. Jackson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jackson looks to land a combination. Aloe sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Aloe is rocked!
A head kick misses from Jackson.
Aloe darts in trying to clinch
and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Jackson dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Aloe closes the distance and pushes Jackson back into the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Aloe creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Aloe has Jackson pressed against the cage.
Jackson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Aloe is keeping busy.
Jackson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Jackson lands a takedown into guard.
Jackson chips away with some ground and pound.
Jay Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Aloe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Aloe is looking to sweep but instead, Jackson has passed into half guard.
Jackson is keen to just control but Aloe is a slippery customer.
Aloe missing with punches from the bottom.
Jackson wants to pass to mount but Aloe is defending the position.
Aloe is trying to stand up here but Jackson is controlling him well.

Jackson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Aloe defend it? Jackson steps over the head and cranks it - Aloe is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jackson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jay Jackson!
After the fight, Jay Jackson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
