The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bisping on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Bisping shoots in looking for a takedown but Mamba manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bisping's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bisping feints and as Mamba raises his hands in defense, Bisping changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mamba looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mamba is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bisping looking to pass the guard.
Mamba has momentary wrist control but Bisping slips an elbow through the middle.
Bisping lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bisping throwing strikes from guard but Mamba blocks nicely.

Bisping trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bisping is working Mamba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mamba trying to keep a closed guard but Bisping is proving a slippery customer.
Mamba wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bisping is now in half guard.

Bisping looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mamba with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bisping works his way into side control.
Mamba is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bisping connects with a decent elbow.
Mamba is still in real trouble! Can Bisping finish him?

A big shot lands for Bisping! That's hurt Mamba! Will he recover? Bisping fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Michael Bisping thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
