PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshiro Kasumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isiah Acer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kasumi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ai Wo Torimodose aka Song of Manliness. Acer has chosen Mad at Gravity- Burn as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acer shoots in looking for a takedown. Kasumi tries to sprawl out of it but Acer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kasumi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Acer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Acer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Acer shoots in but no luck this time.
Kenshiro Kasumi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isiah Acer.
Acer fails to land the takedown.
Acer throws a leg kick
and Kasumi counters with a head kick. That will keep Acer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
A big left from Kasumi misses.
Kasumi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kasumi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Acer dives in and grabs Kasumi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kasumi pushes down on Acer's head and hops out.

Acer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

and Kasumi counters with a nice kick to the body.
Acer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kasumi throws out the jab.
Kasumi tries to work over Acer's front leg with a kick but Acer checks it.
Kasumi lands a slapping body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kasumi throws a leg kick which misses Acer's front leg but catches the back leg as Acer tries to avoid it.

Acer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kasumi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Acer somewhat.

Acer shoots in looking for a takedown but Kasumi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Acer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Acer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Acer is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kasumi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Acer.

Acer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Acer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kasumi sneaks back into half guard.
Kasumi gets back to full guard.

Kasumi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Acer's guard.

Acer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Acer wants to sweep here but Kasumi controlling him for the moment.
Kasumi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kasumi wants to control from the top but Acer keeps moving.
Kasumi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Acer is keeping the position for now.

Acer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kasumi doesn't defend quickly enough and Acer has managed to lock this one up! Can Kasumi escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Acer on a fantastic submission victory.
