The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba tries to clinch there but Staghard circles away.
Sakuraba closes the distance looking to clinch
and Staghard counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sakuraba regains half guard.
Sakuraba is looking for a sweep. Staghard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sakuraba misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Staghard stops Sakuraba from getting back to his feet.
Sakuraba is pressing down on Staghard's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sakuraba looking to hit a scissor sweep but Staghard is one step ahead there.
Staghard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sakuraba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Staghard has managed to get both his arms back between Sakuraba's legs - danger averted.

Sakuraba is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Staghard rolls with it to try and escape but Sakuraba cranks on the arm and Staghard is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
