Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cole Hallett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Polllock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cole Hallett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Polllock!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hallett closes the distance and clinches.

Hallett breaks the clinch.

Hallett closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Polllock quickly recovers to half guard.
Hallett is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Hallett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hallett is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Polllock tries to kick Hallett off but Hallett keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hallett is keen to just control but Polllock is a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hallett stalling away here and it's allowed Polllock to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Hallett wants to stand but Polllock has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hallett slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Cole Hallett has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Hallett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Hallett is looking for a kimura but Polllock is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hallett to get the leverage.
Hallett seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hallett is stalling here. Polllock is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hallett seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Polllock has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Polllock looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hallett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Polllock looks winded!

Hallett is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Polllock has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hallett is looking for a sweep.
Polllock trying to control the position but Hallett is working away.

Hallett looking for a sweep but Polllock has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Hallett wants to hold on but Polllock pushes him away.
Hallett tries to buck Polllock off but Polllock takes his back!
Hallett controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hallett defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hallett stuffs the takedown attempt from Polllock. Polllock gets slowly back to his feet.
Polllock fails with the takedown
and Hallett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hallett is looking to clinch but Polllock is avoiding it.

Hallett is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Polllock is breathing heavily.

Hallett decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Hallett moves into the clinch.

Hallett gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Cole Hallett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hallett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Polllock has an active guard here but Hallett has managed to pass into half guard.
Hallett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Polllock does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hallett is nestled in close to Polllock, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hallett is looking to take a break and control but Polllock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hallett stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Hallett shoots in and bounces Polllock off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Polllock keeping moving, preventing Hallett from controlling successfully.
Hallett controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Polllock looking to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hallett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Polllock's guard.
Hallett slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hallett chips away with some ground and pound.
Polllock keeping moving, preventing Hallett from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Polllock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cole Hallett dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Hallett closes the distance and pushes Polllock back into the cage.
Hallett lands a body shot.

Hallett pulls guard effortlessly.

Hallett isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Polllock stacks Hallett on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Polllock!
Hallett is looking to get back to his feet here but Polllock is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hallett's back.

Hallett is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Polllock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hallett trying to control the hands but Polllock won't let him.

Polllock looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Hallett is controlling Polllock 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hallett trying to control the position from guard on top but Polllock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hallett slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Hallett wants to stand but Polllock is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Cole Hallett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hallett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cole Hallett is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hallett defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Polllock.
Hallett throws a series of punches but Polllock avoids them all with ease.
Polllock shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hallett pinned against the cage. Hallett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hallett looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Polllock!
Henry Polllock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Polllock is trying to work for a sweep but Hallett has mounted him!
Polllock is working to get back to half guard.
Hallett looking to control but Polllock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Hallett stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cole Hallett showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hallett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
