Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katakutan checks a leg kick.
Katakutan thuds a left hand into Thomas's body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Katakutan.
Thomas shoots in but no luck this time.
Thomas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Katakutan sprawls well initially but Thomas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Thomas is thwarting Katakutan's attempts to control the position.
Katakutan has one foot on Thomas's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Thomas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Thomas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Katakutan feints a jab promting Thomas to slip. Katakutan then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Thomas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Katakutan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Katakutan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
