The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell stuffs the takedown.

Anderson slips a straight right by Liddell.

Liddell throws a series of punches but Anderson avoids them all with ease.

Liddell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anderson, pushing him back against the ropes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Liddell is trying to break the clinch but Anderson has him pressed against the ropes.

Anderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Anderson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Liddell looks a forlorn figure.
Liddell is in a horrible position here. Anderson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Liddell is rocked!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Liddell tries to buck Anderson off but he can't manage it.
Liddell is still in real trouble! Can Anderson finish him?
Liddell seems to have recovered his senses.
Anderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Liddell looks gassed!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Anderson! Liddell is hurt baaadly! Anderson is firing away with more strikes - Liddell is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
