The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman lands with an uppercut that bounces Simpson off the cage and back into range.
Simpson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Freeman counters with a shoot takedown. Simpson fights it but they end up in guard.

Freeman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Simpson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Freeman has his hands clasped together but Simpson extends and breaks Freeman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Simpson.
