Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Veremko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Coffey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coffey swings for the body but Veremko moves out of range.
Veremko drops his hands momentarily and Coffey takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Maksim Veremko has been cut.
Veremko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coffey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Veremko shoots in for a takedown but Coffey shows good takedown defense.

Coffey throws a left that rocks Veremko and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Coffey dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Veremko regain composure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Coffey lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Veremko! Coffey senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Veremko out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
