PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Herst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Frein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herst comes to the cage accompanied by Mr Crowley. Jake Frein told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herst defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Frein.

Herst shoots in and bounces Frein off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Herst chips away with some ground and pound.
Herst trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Herst is in close to Frein's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Herst's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Herst has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Frein looks winded!
Herst pushes down on Frein's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Herst is controlling the pace.
Herst has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Herst lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Herst is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Frein defends it well.
Herst moves into full mount! Frein won't be happy about that!

Frein is rocked!
Herst takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Frein is still in real trouble! Can Herst finish him?
Frein takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Herst connects with a bit shot that sees Frein covering up! More strikes from Herst and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Herst is our winner by TKO!
