Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ice Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes to the cage accompanied by Radioactive. Dennis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bark at the moon. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ice Man!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Dennis!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man misses with a right hand
and Dennis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Man digs a good body shot into Dennis's ribs.
Man lands a really nice looking cross but Dennis seems unphased.
Man lands the left hand.
Dennis swings widly with a right hand
and Man counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Man throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dennis has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dennis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Man.
Dennis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dennis looks to throw the jab but Man is out of range.
Dennis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Man jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dennis looks to land a combination but Man avoids it well.
Dennis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Man rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Dennis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dennis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Man's head.
Man preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dennis wants to pass the guard but Man is keeping the position.
Man has control of Dennis's left arm, preventing Dennis from doing any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dennis tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.

Dennis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Man not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Man bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dennis's guard.
Dennis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Man engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Ice Man has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dennis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Man's waist but Man gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dennis off to one side.
Nice sprawl there from Man as Dennis shoots in.
Ice Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Dennis.

Man swinging wildly here.
Dennis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Man was well out of range. Poor timing from Dennis.

Dennis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Man is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Dennis is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Man is desperately trying to improve his position but Dennis has a good base and remains in mount.
Man holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dennis tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Man is in all sorts of trouble here.

Dennis wants to control the pace but Man is squirming around nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Man is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dennis landing strikes, looking to finish!
Man is looking to improve his position but Dennis isn't that keen on the idea.
Dennis trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Man tries to hold on but Dennis pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ice Man will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Dennis misses with a double jab
and Man cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fighters circling - Man throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dennis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Man counters with a nice uppercut.
Dennis misses with a takedown attempt
and Man counters with a straight right hand.
Man listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Man lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dennis shoots in but Man avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dennis scores with a one two! Man had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Dennis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Man throws a nice looking combination but Dennis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Man is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
A shot to the liver by Dennis. Beautiful body shot.
Man misses with a hook

and Dennis counters with a shoot takedown. Man fights it but they end up in guard.
Dennis scoring with punches to the head and body.
Man wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dennis wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
Dennis throws a strike but Man rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Dennis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dennis wants to hit a switch here but Man passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dennis there!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dennis tries to reverse the position but Man maintains control.
Man tries to control but Dennis wriggling away.
Man sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dennis is in all sorts of trouble here.

Man looking to control but Dennis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dennis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Man keeping moving, preventing Dennis from controlling successfully.
Dennis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

We're going to have a standup here because Ice Man wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dennis moves out of range of the strikes.
Man looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dennis misses with a double jab
enabling Man to counter with a crisp jab.
Man throws a hook but Dennis avoids it easily.
Ice Man is winning the standup battle so far.
Dennis misses with a double jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dennis looks for a takedown but Man sprawls well.

Dennis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Man sprawls well. Man wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dennis gets slowly back to his feet.

Dennis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Man finds it's way round the side to connect with Dennis's head.
Man stalks Dennis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dennis's face. Dennis staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dennis takes one to the side of the head.
Ice Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dennis bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Man's head backwards.
Man swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ice Man clearly takes that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Dennis shoots in for a takedown but Man shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Man moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Man throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Man fails to land with a series of punches.
Man misses with a hook.
Man misses with a wild body shot.
Man lands a nice shot to the body.
Dennis misses with a jab, cross combination.

Dennis tries to move into range but Man moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dennis.

enabling Man to counter with a crisp jab.

Dennis shoots in for a takedown but Man shows good takedown defense.

Dennis is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.

Dennis throws a right hand that Man ducks under and follows up with a left that Man also avoids with ease.
Man dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Dennis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dennis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Man pinned against the cage. Man gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dennis looks to score with a jab to the body but Man is just out of range.
Dennis lands a nice shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man lands with a big left! Dennis is wobbled badly! Man comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Dennis to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ice Man!
Ice Man retains his welterweight title!
Ice Man thanked the fans post fight for their support.
