Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Pirozhkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Torres's choice of entrance music: Old Way's. Arthur Pirozhkov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arthur Pirozhkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miguel Torres!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pirozhkov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pirozhkov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Torres moves into the clinch.

Torres's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A big left from Torres misses.
Pirozhkov staying out of range there.
Torres throws the left hand but Pirozhkov avoids the punch easily.
Pirozhkov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Torres throws out the jab.
Torres misses with a wild body shot.
Torres tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pirozhkov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Torres counters with a nice body shot.

Pirozhkov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Torres. Pirozhkov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Torres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pirozhkov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pirozhkov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Torres counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Miguel Torres seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Torres throws out a loose jab but Pirozhkov uses good head movement to avoid it.

Pirozhkov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Torres swivels and escapes.

and Torres connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Pirozhkov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Torres's guard.

Pirozhkov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Torres is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pirozhkov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Torres has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pirozhkov but great work by Torres.

Torres sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pirozhkov is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Pirozhkov takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Pirozhkov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Torres misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pirozhkov tries to buck Torres off but Torres is having none of it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Miguel Torres will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Torres is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Pirozhkov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Torres dives on top into guard.
Torres makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Pirozhkov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Torres is aware though and is defending well.

Pirozhkov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Torres defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pirozhkov has his foot on Torres's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Torres works his way back into a safe position though.

Pirozhkov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Arthur Pirozhkov.
I think Torres has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
