Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Paul!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez lands a nice shot that snaps Paul's head back.
Perez ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Perez has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Perez drives through and clinches with Paul against the cage.
Paul lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Still in the clinch, Perez scores with a nice short uppercut.

Perez is trying to trip Paul. He has hold of a leg but Paul is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Perez persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Paul tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Paul goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Perez is on top in guard.

Paul is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Perez has his hands clasped together but Paul extends and breaks Perez's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Paul.
