Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Guillet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Herrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herrera is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: realeza. Abel Herrera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guillet shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Guillet showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Guillet seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Guillet is pressing down on Herrera's thigh, looking to free his foot. Herrera is holding on for now.
Herrera is refusing to be controlled, as Guillet sits in half guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Kelvin Guillet wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Herrera shoots in for a takedown but Guillet shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Guillet tries to score a power double leg takedown but Herrera sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Guillet somewhat.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guillet is defended easily by Herrera.

Guillet shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Herrera's guard.
Guillet stays in close to Herrera's body and controls the position.
Herrera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guillet. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Herrera is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Guillet jumps guard and drags Herrera to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
