Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spencer comes into the arena with "Back Up" by Pitbull blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Spencer misses.
Spencer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

It looks like Tyler Reed has been cut.

Spencer darts in and clinches Reed up against the cage.

Spencer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spencer scores with a body shot.
Spencer throws a chopping leg kick but Reed manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Spencer lands an overhand right.
Reed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Anthony Spencer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spencer tries to close the distance and clinch but Reed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spencer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Reed's head.
Spencer goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Reed looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Spencer thuds his shin into the meat of Reed's side.

Spencer takes the fight into the clinch.
Spencer is trying to break the clinch but Reed has him pressed against the cage.

Spencer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Spencer drops Reed with a left right combo! Spencer follows him down to the ground into side control.


Reed is rocked!
Reed tries to improve position but can't.
Reed is still in real trouble! Can Spencer finish him?
Reed pushes Spencer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Spencer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Reed seems to have recovered his senses.
Reed looks gassed!
Reed tries to buck Spencer off but Spencer is having none of it.
Reed is pushing Spencer's head away, looking to escape. Spencer manages to hold on to the position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reed is trying to control Spencer's posture but Spencer avoids it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Spencer thuds a left hand into Reed's body.
Spencer lands a jab to the head.


That has opened up Tyler Reed's cut even more.
A jab from Spencer finds it's way through Reed's defenses.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Reed wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spencer has him pressed against the cage.

Spencer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Spencer looks to land a left hand but Reed moved out of range nicely.
Reed throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Spencer scores with a hook to the body. Reed takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Spencer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Reed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Spencer throws a head kick but Reed moves out of range.
Spencer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reed shoots in for a double leg but Spencer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Anthony Spencer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Reed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Reed shoots for a double leg takedown but Spencer sprawls well. He's pushed Reed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spencer circles away.
Reed takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Reed walks forward, straight into a front kick from Spencer.
Reed takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Reed seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Spencer is not content to let Reed control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Spencer has one foot on Reed's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Anthony Spencer will probably get the nod.

Reed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spencer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Reed has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Spencer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Spencer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Reed with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Spencer to score with a decent uppercut.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
