Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonic Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saidak Shymyr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sonic Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saidak Shymyr !
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shymyr fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Shymyr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shymyr throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Good exchange - Shymyr coming out on top.
Shymyr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boom.
Shymyr throws out a loose jab but Boom uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boom connects with an inside leg kick.
Shymyr takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The fighters circling - Shymyr throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Boom blocks a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Boom counters by moving into the clinch.

Boom tries to throw a body punch but Shymyr avoids it by throwing Boom back against the cage.

Shymyr is trying to force a seperation but Boom has the dominant position.
Shymyr wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boom lands with a light punch inside.

Boom throws a punch but it's blocked by Shymyr .

Shymyr has had enough of the clinch but Boom keeps him there for the moment.

Shymyr tries to circle away but Boom has him pinned against the cage.
Shymyr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shymyr lands with a good body shot.

A telegraphed right hand from Shymyr misses the target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boom tries to land a leg kick but Shymyr saw it coming and moves away.
Boom throws a solid leg kick but Shymyr takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Boom.

Boom fakes the leg kick and cracks Shymyr in the body.

Boom keeps Shymyr at a distance using the push kick.
Boom fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Boom fails to land the takedown.
Boom lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shymyr takes a step back to recover.
Shymyr on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Boom. Boom obviously looking to wear him down.
Boom dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Saidak Shymyr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shymyr takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Boom. Shymyr shrugs it off though.
Boom connects with a solid leg kick.
Shymyr chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Boom can pounce on him.
Boom lands a big head kick that sends Shymyr tumbling to the mat! Boom takes a step backwards and waves Shymyr back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Shymyr is rocked!
It looks like Saidak Shymyr has been cut.
Boom keeps Shymyr at a distance using the push kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Boom.
Shymyr has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Boom.
Boom bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Boom lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Boom closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Nice body punch from Boom - that landed with a thud.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boom lands a left hand that snaps the head of Shymyr backwards.
Shymyr blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A short uppercut from Boom.
Shymyr is still on wobbly legs! Can Boom finish him?
Boom creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Shymyr 's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Shymyr drops to his knees and Boom pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sonic Boom!
Our winner, Sonic Boom, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
