Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pereira is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Method Man ft Redman - Da Rockwilder. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez throws a leg kick
and Pereira counters with a thumping low kick.
Rodriguez throws a sloppy head kick
and Pereira moves into the clinch.

Rodriguez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pereira walks away with a smile on his face. Rodriguez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Pereira counters with a thumping low kick.

Rodriguez throws a right hand that Pereira ducks under and follows up with a left that Pereira also avoids with ease.

Pereira instigates a clinch.

Pereira misses with a knee strike.

It looks like Ramon Rodriguez has been cut.
Rodriguez is looking to break free of the clinch but Pereira has double underhooks.

Rodriguez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pereira on the ground.
Pereira has Rodriguez pulled in close to control his posture.
Pereira has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rodriguez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Pereira has tightened it up now! Rodriguez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
