Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arsen Danielyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johann Bruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arsen Danielyan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arsen Danielyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johann Bruno!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruno closes the distance but Danielyan moves to the side

and Danielyan counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Danielyan goes for a takedown attempt but Bruno pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Danielyan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Danielyan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bruno tries to close the distance and clinch up but Danielyan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johann Bruno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bruno moves in looking to clinch but Danielyan pushes him off.
Bruno lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Danielyan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Bruno counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Danielyan down! Bruno is looking to finish but Danielyan is intelligently defending himself.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Danielyan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Danielyan throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Danielyan has hold of Bruno's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bruno manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bruno can do anything to dispel that myth.

Danielyan goes for an armbar but Bruno turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bruno.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bruno wants to stand but Danielyan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Danielyan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Danielyan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Danielyan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Johann Bruno hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

It looks like Arsen Danielyan has been cut.
Danielyan is working for takedown but Bruno is calmly controlling the position for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bruno creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Bruno lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bruno pushes Danielyan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Bruno landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Bruno.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bruno lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Danielyan or not.
Bruno lands a right hand that snaps the head of Danielyan backwards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bruno tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Danielyan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Danielyan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bruno looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bruno is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Danielyan has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Danielyan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bruno, who protects the arm well.
Danielyan advances to full mount.
Bruno is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Danielyan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bruno is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Danielyan with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Danielyan wants to control the pace but Bruno is squirming around nicely.
Bruno is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Bruno fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bruno throws a head kick but Danielyan moves out of range.
Bruno tries to clinch but Danielyan is having none of it.
Johann Bruno seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Bruno rushes Danielyan and presses him up against the cage.

Bruno presses Danielyan against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Bruno landing knees to the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bruno gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Danielyan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bruno sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Danielyan to the ground! Bruno dives into full mount looking to finish!

Bruno is looking to stand but Bruno has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Danielyan seems to have got his legs back now.

Bruno stands up from mount. Strange move.

Bruno cracks Danielyan with a nice body shot.

Bruno creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Danielyan with a big uppercut! Danielyan tries to clinch up but Bruno pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Danielyan to the mat! Danielyan covers up and Bruno unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Johann Bruno!
Our winner, Johann Bruno, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
