The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Melo sprawls well. Melo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hunt gets slowly back to his feet.
Hunt throws a shot from downtown. Melo moves away and avoids it.
Melo thumps Hunt with a low kick.
Horrible takedown by Hunt or perhaps it was just good defense by Melo which made him look bad.
Hunt avoids the head kick by Melo.
Hunt looks for a takedown but Melo sprawls well.

Melo rushes Hunt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Melo dodges an elbow strike from Hunt.
Melo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hunt can't get the takedown.
Hunt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Melo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Melo is struggling to control the position.
Hunt has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Melo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Melo breaks from the clinch.
Hunt throws a right and a left that both miss.
Robert Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hunt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Melo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Melo lands a leg kick that knocks Hunt off balance momentarily.
Hunt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Melo but Melo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Melo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hunt's head.

The fighters circling - Hunt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Melo seems to be stalking Hunt here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Hunt drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Felipe Melo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
