Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Mcloud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kone Wrot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Mcloud looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wrot fails in his attempt to clinch.

Wrot tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcloud manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wrot moves into the clinch.

Mcloud's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mcloud changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wrot tries to avoid it but Mcloud manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wrot to the ground. Wrot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wrot wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mcloud has him pressed against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Wrot scores with a nice short uppercut.

Mcloud jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wrot walks away with a smile on his face. Mcloud gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mcloud tries to clinch but Wrot is having none of it.
Wrot displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcloud.

Wrot moves into range and clinches up with Mcloud.
Wrot throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Wrot tries to break free but Mcloud pushes him back against the cage.
Mcloud is looking to take this one to the mat.

A frustrated look appears on Wrot's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Wrot lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Mcloud is trying to maintain a safe position but Wrot gets an underhook and turns Mcloud into the cage.
Wrot presses Mcloud against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mcloud tries to stall but Wrot uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mcloud jumps guard but Wrot stands there with Mcloud around his waist. Mcloud gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wrot is working Mcloud over against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wrot creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mcloud putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Wrot in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Wrot keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mcloud's efforts to push away.
Mcloud is trying to drag Wrot to the mat but Wrot just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Wrot is pressed up against the cage. Mcloud has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wrot down to the mat. Wrot avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wrot tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcloud swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wrot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Mcloud gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Wrot wants to clinch.
Mcloud bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wrot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mcloud was well out of range. Poor timing from Wrot.

Wrot has managed to clinch.

Mcloud ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mcloud no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wrot looking to sit in guard and control but Mcloud gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wrot can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wrot is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kone Wrot dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mcloud scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Wrot gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcloud is trying to push Wrot away but Wrot has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Mcloud decides to pull guard.

Mcloud looking for a triangle here. Wrot is fighting it but it looks tight! Mcloud pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Wrot is tapping out - this one is all over!
