Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniek Rondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniek Rondo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rondo avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck for Rondo with that takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Romero.
Romero shoots in for a takedown but Rondo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy Romero. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rondo tries to clinch but Romero moves out of range.
Rondo shoots in for a double leg but Romero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rondo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Romero sprawls well. Romero wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rondo gets slowly back to his feet.
Romero blocks a head kick by Rondo.
Romero looks to land a combination. Rondo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Romero changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rondo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Romero working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Romero tries to move to mount but Rondo blocks the move with his legs.
Rondo tries to bench press Romero off him but Romero keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Romero has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Rondo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Romero's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rondo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rondo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Romero is looking to control Rondo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Romero avoid being mounted?
Rondo is trying to control the action in half guard but Romero is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Romero pulls Rondo in close to prevent any damage.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Romero scores with a hook to the body. Rondo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Romero really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Romero looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Romero wants to sweep but no luck.

Romero has his foot on Rondo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rondo works his way back into a safe position though.
Romero is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Rondo trying to move into half guard but instead Romero has managed to sweep!
Romero sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rondo's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Romero seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rondo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Romero is taking a breather. Rondo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Rondo won't allow Romero to pass to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Romero gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Rondo stuffs the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roy Romero dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rondo dodges the punch combination from Romero.

Rondo has closed the distance and engaged Romero in a clinch.
Rondo is trying to break the clinch but Romero is controlling him.

Romero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rondo wants to clinch but Romero slips to the side
enabling Romero to counter with a crisp jab.
Rondo tries for a takedown but Romero sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Romero leaves Rondo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Roy Romero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniek Rondo.
Romero lands with a nice body punch.
Rondo is breathing heavily.
Rondo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rondo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Romero sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Romero instigates a clinch.
Rondo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Romero fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Romero tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rondo swivels and escapes.
Romero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rondo as he jumps to the side.
Romero throws a front kick that sends Rondo stumbling back into the cage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rondo enables Romero to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rondo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Romero stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Romero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Romero will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rondo up against the cage.

A head kick from Romero lands but Rondo takes it in his stride.
Romero moves in looking to clinch but Rondo pushes him off.
Romero connects with a leg kick. Rondo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Romero shoots in and drives through. Rondo sprawls well.
Rondo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Romero counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rondo's knee momentarily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Romero moves into the clinch.

Romero ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Romero no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Rondo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Romero looking for a triangle here. Rondo is fighting it but it looks tight! Romero pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Rondo is tapping out - this one is all over!
