Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zoltan Soljernitskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soljernitskin has chosen You're Going Down as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zoltan Soljernitskin!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Soljernitskin. Archer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soljernitskin throws a hook but Archer avoids it easily.
Soljernitskin tries to close the distance and clinch but Archer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Soljernitskin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Archer.
Archer connects with a leg kick. Soljernitskin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Archer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Archer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Soljernitskin slips under a jab from Archer.
Archer tries to score with a low kick but Soljernitskin moves his leg out of the way.
Archer scores with a hook to the body. Soljernitskin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
An inside leg kick lands from Archer.
Soljernitskin misses with an uppercut. Archer saw that one coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Archer misses with a few strikes there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Archer. Soljernitskin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Archer lands a leg kick that knocks Soljernitskin off balance momentarily.

Soljernitskin drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Archer pulls Soljernitskin in close to prevent any damage.
Soljernitskin trying to control the position from guard on top but Archer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Soljernitskin looking to sit in guard and control but Archer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Archer postures up in Soljernitskin's guard and throws a big left but Soljernitskin blocks it.
Soljernitskin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Archer trying to control but Soljernitskin is working from the bottom.
Archer looking to sit in guard and control but Soljernitskin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Soljernitskin trying to control the position from guard on top but Archer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Archer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Soljernitskin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Soljernitskin trying to control but Archer is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Archer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Soljernitskin. That did some damage!
Archer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Archer tries to move into range but Soljernitskin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soljernitskin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Archer's hands.

Archer looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Soljernitskin keeping moving, preventing Archer from controlling successfully.
Archer works over Soljernitskin with some ground and pound from guard.
Soljernitskin wants to stand but Archer is controlling the position.
Archer throwing strikes but missing.

Archer is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Soljernitskin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Soljernitskin has escaped and now he's on top!
Archer can't keep his opponent in guard - Soljernitskin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Archer is looking to improve his position.
Archer wants to control but Soljernitskin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Soljernitskin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Soljernitskin prevents Archer from improving his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Soljernitskin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Aaron Archer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Soljernitskin ducks under a wild hook from Archer.
Good exchange - Soljernitskin coming out on top.
Archer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Archer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Soljernitskin tries to clinch up but Archer circles away and keeps his distance.
Soljernitskin lands with a hook. Archer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Archer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Archer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Soljernitskin tries to clinch but Archer moves out of range.
Nice shot lands for Soljernitskin.


Archer is rocked!
Archer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Oh Archer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soljernitskin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Archer seems to have got his legs back now.

Archer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Archer not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Archer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Soljernitskin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Archer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Archer's back!

Soljernitskin has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Archer! Can he survive? No! He's out! Soljernitskin gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Zoltan Soljernitskin!
A very excited looking Zoltan Soljernitskin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
