The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdonald shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mcdonald has his takedown stuffed
and Jones counters with a nice body shot.
Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mcdonald is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mcdonald trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mcdonald is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.
Jones has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mcdonald defend it? Jones steps over the head and cranks it - Mcdonald is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jones!
